journalling — poetry — gentle + seasonal growth — glimmers — burnout
A journey that has unfolded in many ways.
I started writing my newsletter on Substack, then called ‘musings in writing’, in 2023, and I found it the perfect home for my words. I have found a community and I feel at home there.
Behind the name.
I have always enjoyed the symbology behind the elements I enjoy, what they can represent. After making lists, dreaming and Pinterest boards, I found two elements that felt right, for who I am and the journey I am on.
Moss represents renewal, resilience and the interconnectedness of all living things. This resonated with me, because it reminds of my childhood, of forests, of softness, but I also the representation of everything is interconnected. In hindsight, I see that things are woven together, as we create the tapestry that is our story. Things that happened 15 years ago, are braided with things today.
Amber symbolises protection, cleansing, and renewal. It also embodies an ancient energy and natural warmth. Since I was child, I have been occasionally roaming fields and beaches, to find a little piece of amber, which I have not (yet) found. It feels like I found it through my writing. It is present in my poetry and in the book I will publish (some practical things need to be in order first).
What I write about.
Burnout, healing + growth
Having burned out, I had to find different ways to heal, finding my way and being creative about what works.
I had to find the gifts of these periods and grow with the experience, especially when it comes to respecting my own boundaries as a sensitive person.
Memories + glimmers
I have always enjoyed remembering and recording my memories. I think this comes from having lost my beloved great-grandfather at the age of 5 and the way he could live on was in the stories we told. Now, I record glimmers too, to anchor on and keep reminding myself how magical life can be.

Poetry + writing journey
I write poetry that comes to me like whispers, inspired by life, its ups and downs, feelings, nature, glimmers and growth. I will also share my writing and self-publishing journey.
— Series: Poem
Journalling
This is entangled with all of my writing, but I want to keep it separate, as it has been a cataclyst and a tool for healing, for writing poetry and prose, for recording glimmers and memories, unwrapping life, listing ideas, brainstorming my book, and so on.
— Series: Kindred Notes
Nature + seasons
Noticing and being in nature, my body rests. I feel kindred with the season, and it grounds me to notice the small ever present changes.
There is a part of me who keeps playing fables in my mind that are set in nature.
Motherhood
Becoming a mother also makes an appearance now and then, as I am curiosly navigating it.
